Series of Meditations to Prepare Yourself for the Retreat

Here are some important considerations to keep in mind:

  1. April marks the fall season in Southern Brazil, where temperatures can range from the lower 60s to the upper 70s. However, there might be occasional drops to the mid-50s. It’s advisable to pack your wardrobe accordingly. Additionally, consider adding the town of Bom Jardim da Serra, SC, to your Weather app and keep an eye on the temperature as the trip dates approach.

  2. While we will provide assistance in English, it’s worth noting that Brazilians primarily speak Portuguese. Learning a few basic Portuguese words and phrases can go a long way in enhancing your experience and communication.

  1. Surprise. Surprise. Brazilians don’t flush their toilet paper, instead they throw it in the waste basket. Keep that in mind if you don’t want to be running to the outer house in the middle of night because you clogged the toilet.

  1. Be prepared for the major hikes we have planned, as they require a considerable amount of stamina. It’s essential to carve out some time to physically prepare yourself.

The Retreat Starts At Home:

At TuaCura, we firmly believe that the retreat experience begins long before you physically depart for your destination, and it continues well after your return. We hold the practices of immersion, integration, re-immersion, and re-integration in high regard. Once we depart from Florianópolis International Airport, we will find ourselves fully immersed in the rural side of Brazil. It’s important to manage your expectations regarding the amenities available in this environment, as this disconnection from the modern world is an integral part of the journey, enabling you to connect more deeply with your true self.

Start giving yourself permission to disconnect right now. Begin contemplating all the things you won’t have with you and ask yourself what mental baggage you are ready to leave behind. Initiate conversations with your inner spirit and tap into the energies of Mother Nature. Tune in to the subtle signs around you. Additionally, be mindful of your energy as you share your upcoming trip with others, as some may project their fears and anxieties about traveling abroad onto you.

To help you mentally prepare for this immersion, we will be providing affirmations, exercises, and meditations, but for now, you can begin with the affirmation: “I allow magic to enter my life so I can undergo transformation.”
