Welcome to the Cosmic Highlands,
Here, you will be challenged to deconstruct your sense of reality and embrace a whole new way of living and healing.
Purpose of the Retreat: This is an invitation for you to slow down and start listening to the rhythm of what surrounds you: animals, people, trees. Once you release your expectations and preconceived ideas of the Mountains of Santa Catarina, you will start to notice that everything works in perfect harmony. From the collard greens you will pick in the morning for the soup made for dinner, the milk fresh off the cow that will become the cheese for your breakfast, to the prickly branches that fall off the araucária trees that will start your fire in the evening. From the local guide who will explain to you how mountain ants communicate, to the sounds of the guitar and the deep commanding voice of Shawã. You will understand that everyone and everything in the highlands has a purpose, and you too, will be tested to break down your own inner barriers and find your rhythm in the inner symphony of your own Inner Cosmic Highlands. A place within you, where everything is in equilibrium and all of your different wants and desires blend and support each other.
This Retreat is a gateway for you to find clarity, release emotions, and cure yourself from the rhythm and symphony that no longer serves you.
But we also invite you to break free from the preconceived themes of the retreat and let whatever calls to you unfold in this space. We, at TuaCura team, don’t want you to limit your experience.
At Vista Alegre Guesthouse, immerse yourself in a true farm-to-table experience that nurtures both body and spirit.
Rise with the dawn to partake in the ritual of camargo, a rustic cappuccino brewed right before your eyes in the tranquil of our stable, fresh from the cow’s udder.
Breakfast, a sacred gathering at our table, unfolds each day from 8 to 10 AM, orchestrated by Camila, my multi-talented cousin and culinary artisan. In our humble kitchen, she conjures delights rooted in tradition and nourished by our land. From the cherished warmth of Brazilian cheese bread to the super yummy homemade jams, each dish whispers of the earth’s bounty. Our morning spread offers an array of homemade breads, seasonal fruits bursting with sun-kissed flavors, artisanal cheese and meats crafted with care, and eggs prepared to your heart’s desire. And of course, Camila’s cakes.
For lunch, we will have sandwiches and delectable snacks, perfect companions for our explorations into nature’s embrace, or a picnic at the twenty acre estate.
For dinner, expect the comforting embrace of rice and beans, the hearty succulence of beef stew, regional dishes, lots of veggies and fresh salad. Every dish is infused with the essence of our farm. Camila’s culinary alchemy extends to our Italian family recipe classics like gnocchi, while nourishing soups and freshly baked focaccia offer solace for the soul. Venture into our super green garden to pluck oregano, herbs and other vegetables she might need.
The tapestry of our menu shifts with the rhythms of the seasons, embracing the Earth’s bounty with reverence and gratitude. At Vista Alegre Guesthouse, each meal is a communion with nature’s abundance, a testament to the divine harmony between land and table, and our family traditions.

Matheus Froés is a dedicated explorer of spirituality and the art of self-discovery through the medium of music. Beyond his craft of creating instruments that are easily accessible, he assumes the role of a guide, imparting wisdom on both meditation and musical expression. This amalgamation of art and spirituality showcases his profound passion, leading to a truly unique and enriching creative odyssey.
Participating in Matheus Froés’ ceremonies is akin to embarking on profound catatonic experiences that serve as a catalyst for unleashing inner talents and revealing hidden passions. It’s an immersive journey that goes beyond the auditory, touching the depths of the soul and unlocking the potential within.
Meet Shawã, the embodiment of healing and harmony. With a voice as deep and soothing as the Amazon itself, he carries the ancient melodies of the Noke Koi indigenous tribe. With his guitar as his constant companion, he channels the spirits of the rainforest through his music, bringing solace and restoration to all who hear. In the sacred ritual of the cacao ceremony, Shawã becomes a shaman, leading souls through the depths of their inner landscapes, offering healing and renewal with each sacred sip.
In his presence, one can feel the pulse of the tribes of the Amazon and the whispers of the ancestors, reminding us of our interconnectedness with all living things.
Fábio’s spiritual awakening commenced fifteen years ago when he enrolled in an intensive two-year clairvoyance and healing program in Santa Monica. The profound teachings from that period continue to underpin his meditation classes, sound healing sessions, and intuitive tarot readings.
In his ancestral lineage, Fábio’s grandmother was the esteemed healer of their village, employing oils and feathers to mend physical wounds. Additionally, one of his cousins has gained renown as a prominent medium in their region.
Being an empath and intuitive since birth, Fábio honed his skills as a tarot reader through self-guided study. Fábio places significant emphasis on free will during his healing sessions, perceiving the tarot as a potent tool for self-empowerment and self-discovery. Nevertheless, he also revels in conducting traditional fortune-telling sessions.
As a sound healer, Fábio orchestrates diverse themed ceremonies throughout the town, skillfully integrating sound healing and divination to aid individuals in embracing their truest selves.
During the pandemic, Fábio’s reputation has soared, attracting a broad clientele, including CEOs and celebrities, seeking his insightful readings and transformative healing sessions
7 Falls: As the name suggests, this trail boasts seven cascading waterfalls, each with its own unique spiritual essence. We will journey along the river, occasionally meandering through lush, century-old fern forests. Amidst this green beauty, we’ll engage in tarot readings, meditation, and, of course, surrender ourselves to the purifying embrace of the flowing waters.
Canyon 3 Barras: Picture a tranquil pilgrimage lasting about 4 hours. We will descend from the mountain, encountering the crystalline spring waters that nourish the sacred river of the region, known as “Pelotas.” Passing through a very whimsical forest, we shall ascend another peak, pausing by a gentle waterfall, perfect for soul-renewing cold plunges. Finally, we ascend to the canyon’s edge, where the veil between worlds is thin. Here, you’ll behold the “Pedra Furada” portal and be enveloped by a panoramic view of the mountain’s majesty. We’ll gather fresh herbs from Gaia’s embrace and share tea at the summit. This is a place to feel the presence of the Higher Power.

Staying with family here creates something truly magical—a strong sense of community and connection that goes beyond just being guests. The highlands are steeped in our family’s history. My dad’s roots run deep nearby, and I’ve been coming here since I was just a kid. Every corner holds memories for us, weaving our past into the very fabric of this land.
Over twenty years ago, my uncle felt the call of this place and bought it. It’s only been six years since he decided to share its magic with others as a guesthouse. I can still recall that first night we spent here, surrounded by the whispers of nature and the warmth of family and cold showers.
Our healers, drawn to this place by something ancient and sacred, have formed a special bond with my cousin Camila and uncle Alfredo. You might find them on the porch in the soft glow of evening, sharing stories over traditional matcha tea, or perhaps Shawã will be spinning melodies on my uncle’s cherished record player. Here, amidst the beauty of nature and the embrace of loved ones, spirits intertwine, weaving a tapestry of belonging that nourishes the soul.
What to expect by being in a remote farm guesthouse:
Uninterrupted tranquility and you will also get a feeling that somehow the world forgot about this place. It is remote and untouched. You will hear stories from the locals and learn from their reality and world. Expect to hear cows mooing, pigs screaming, and other animals.
Also, be aware that we will spend about twenty minutes on a dirt road everytime we leave the property to get to the main highway.
The weather over there is mostly mild but it does get warm in the summer, so you will definitely need sun block.
